Paraty – Ponta Negra Tour

250 km from Rio and 100 km from Angra dos Reis is Paraty. The town is a gem and is a protected monument. It is one of the best-preserved colonial cities in Brazil: stately homes, Baroque churches, cobbled streets, and the Forte Defensor Perpetua are part of the idyllic environment. Paraty is also the starting point for excursions in one of the most beautiful coastal regions. Nearby are dozens of little affected beaches and islands, which are easily accessible by boat.

Day 1: Transfer Rio de Janeiro – Paraty – recognition tour

Morning: Arrival in Paraty from Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo. Afternoon: 1,5 hrs visit of the charming colonial city, walking tour with English speaking guide. Night at the chosen Pousada.

Day 2: Paraty – Laranjeiras – Trekking in the Atlantic rainforest – “Praia do Sono” beach – Surfer beach “Praia dos Antigos” – Ponta Negra

After breakfast, we depart by car about 30 minutes to Larranjeiras. Trekking about 20 minutes in the Atlantic Forest. After one more hour of walking, we arrive at the wonderful sleepy beach (Praia do Sono), where lunch is served. Then you have time to relax or swim. We then follow the beach on foot and climb the hill. Once at the top we will be rewarded by a fantastic landscape. Then on the surfing beach “Praia dos Antigos” to Ponta Negra. Snack on arrival and accommodation in Bungalow/Fisherman house with the necessary comfort. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Accompanying the fishermen – fishing – visiting the flour factory – beach

After breakfast, we will accompany fishermen and observe the nets up if time permits. With luck, sea turtles and small sharks are more fish species turtles are released. Return to the village and lunch. In the afternoon tour of the home-meal where the manufacturing technique of the local flour will be explained. The rest of the day is free. Rest, beach and sea. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Ponta Negra – Laranjeiras – Paraty

Light trekking to Paraty by the same route. Optional boat transfers to Laranjeiras. Overnight at the Pousada.

Day 5: Individual transfer to Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo

Hotel classification: assessment of Brazil Insider. The official classification is generally higher.
Price based: on 2 persons sharing a double/twin room. Another number of persons, route guidance and length of stay on request
Exceptions: separate prices for Christmas, New Year, Carnival, Easter and local holidays.
